Jamshedpur : Neha Kumari Dubey scored 26th rank in UPSC. She cracked UPSC in the very first attempt.
A former student of Vidhya Bharti Chinmaya Bharti, Neha resigned from Tata Steel from the post of the manager in 2014 to prepare for the coveted exam. She joined Insight Institute in Bangalore to prepare for the exam.
Her father VN Dubey is an employee of Tata Motors while her mother Usha Devi is a homemaker. A graduate from BIT Mesra, Neha’s younger brother is a student of IIT Kharagpur while her younger sister is a student of BIT Mesra.
“There was cooperation from all the members of the family. My father and mother were very much supportive.
I qualified for the IAS in my first attempt. It’s a dream-come-true for me,” said the voracious reader.
She said that she always dreamt to crack UPSC and this was reason why she left Tata Steel job.
She headed to Bangalore and started preparing for the exam. Today her efforts have brought fruitful results. She always wanted to serve the society.
