Former MP Jayaprada ordered arrest, to appear in MP-MLA Court on Dec 19

Rampur: Former MP Jayaprada faces further complications in two code of conduct violation cases as the MP-MLA court rejects her advocate’s arguments and upholds the non-bailable warrant against her.

The court has directed the Rampur Police to execute the arrest warrant and present Jayaprada in court. With this stringent stance, her troubles escalate, and the focus now shifts to the actions of the Rampur Police. Notices have also been issued to her sureties by the MP-MLA Court, and the next hearing is scheduled for December 19.

Two cases were filed against Jayaprada in 2019 for violating the code of conduct during the Lok Sabha elections in Rampur district. The prosecution’s testimony is ongoing in both cases, and arrest warrants have been issued for her non-appearance. The court rejected her plea to cancel the warrants, emphasizing her mandatory presence in the next hearing.
