Ranchi: Former MLAs of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha have sought 15 days time from the Jharkhand Speaker to give a reply to the notice served to them under the anti-defection law.
In what may be termed as their last-ditch effort to save their membership of the Assembly, the MLAs said they were the real JVM members.
One of the legislators Samaresh Singh said that seven of the party MLAs had elected him as the leader of the legislative group of the party.
He said the legislators had ousted Pradip Yadav. He said two more legislators of the party would join him in next few days. He said the Speaker would be informed about the proceedings in the party.
The veteran politician said the party dissidents had elected KP Sharma as their president.
He said majority of the party legislators were with him and that very soon their letter of support would be submitted before the Speaker.
Another former JVM MLA Nirbhay Shahabadi demanded a CBI probe into the Rajya Sabha election in Jharkhand.
