Primary teachers to be recruited only after making waiting list provision: CM

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said the appointment of primary teachers in the state will be made only after making provision for their waiting list. He was replying to a question asked by JMM MLA Jagannath Mahato in the Assembly today.

While replying to another question asked by Trinamool Congress MLA Bandhu Tirkey, the CM said the government was in consultation with its law department to prepare rules for government-aided minority schools in the state. He said the rules will be formulated soon.

The CPI (ML) legislator Vinod Kumar Singh sought a reply of the CM on implementing the Central government order doing away with the need for getting documents attested by gazetted officers. The CM said a decision would be taken by the government after conducting a review of the Central government order. The state minister KN Tripathy said the review would soon be done.

Answering to a question raised by BJP MLA CP Singh in connection with the vigilance probe into the alleged complicity of politicians and bureaucrats in illegal coal mining in the state, the CM said the inquiry was on. Singh said that DSP rank officials should not be asked to conduct probe against officials of the rank of DIG and IG.

The CM said the government had announced its policy for the disabled. He said every department would be spending 3 per cent of funds on the welfare of physically challenged people. He further said the government would soon appoint the disability commissioner after a court stay was removed.

The CM further said that the commission of PDS dealers will be increased from Rs 26 to Rs 45. He said the social benefits allowances of the disabled, widows and old people would be deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Soren, replying to the question asked by JMM MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato said the government would inform the Central government about the alleged recruitment of 9000 non-displaced victims in place of displacement victims of Maithon and Panchet projects.

Later asked about the fate of the 5th JPSC Mains examination, Soren said the Mains examination was postponed as anomalies were found in the results of the preliminary examination. He said a decision would soon be taken after a probe by the government.
