Ranchi, Jan 5: Jharkhand’s politics has heated up after the killing of two bodyguards of former BJP MLA from Manoharpur Gurcharan Nayak, who miraculously escaped Maoist attack in Goilkera thana area of West Singhbhum district.
On Wednesday, the convoy of BJP Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, who reached West Singhbhum from Ranchi to meet the former MLA, was stopped by the police citing security reasons. Babulal Marandi called the DGP and informed about the situation. After this, the police administration allowed the convoy to proceed.

Babulal Marandi took a dig at the state government by posing sarcastic questions, “The Hemant Soren government should tell whether the government’s rule is not running in five blocks of West Singhbhum? Is the police unable to enforce the law in these areas? Is the rule of Naxalites going on in these areas?.”

Babulal Marandi said that if he cannot go to these areas by road during day time then how is the life of the people living in these areas are passing can well be imagined.  The five blocks include Sonuaa, Manoharpur, Goilkera, Gudri and Bandgaon. After the information about stopping the convoy, party workers started protesting by blocking the road in Sonua. After this the police allowed the convoy to go ahead.
