Jamshedpur: Former MLA of Jamshedpur West constituency, Shamshuddin Khan, passed away on Saturday. He was undergoing treatment at Tata Motors Hospital. His burial would take place at the Dhatkidih Kabristan tomorrow.
Shamshuddin was a native of Meerganj (Siwan), Bihar. He remained MLA from 1980 to 1985 on a Congress ticket. He had defeated BJP�s Mrigendra Pratap Singh. He stayed with his nephew Shahid at Dhatkidih. He was admitted to Tata Main Hospital few days back and later taken to Tata Motors. His death was condoled by Congress leaders and members of other political parties and social organizations. State food minister Saryu Roy said Khan�s death is a loss for the society.
