Gamharia, Sept. 3: Daroga Prasad, retired block development officer cum social worker breathed his last at his residence near Gamharia Railway Station on Thursday, September 3. He was sick from quite a long time.
Daroga’s son is former Parshad of Adityapur Nagar Parshad Dhananjay Gupta. Daroga Prasad, 82, was quite active in public welfare schemes during his tenure as public servant. He is survived by his two sons and two daughters. His last rites were performed at Parvati Ghat in Bistupur. As the news of his demise spread Ravindra Nath Choubey, Rakesh Raman Choudhary, Ambuj Kumar, Pandi Mukhi, Sudhir Choudhary, Ramashankar Pandey, Binod Kumar Singh, Santosh Singh, Sidhinath Yadav, Sachin Kumar, BN Choudhary, Pramod Singh and several prominent people of the society reached his home and attended his funeral procession.
