Ranchi, March 28: Former BJP MP Ramtahal Choudhary has joined the Congress party.
It is likely that Ramtahal Chaudhary will contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Ranchi parliamentary seat on Congress ticket. He joined the Congress party in Delhi.
Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera and Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir got him Congress membership.
Ram Tahal Chaudhary is a big leader of Kudmis and was a strong leader of BJP for a long time. He defeated Subodh Kant Sahay in elections several times. This time the Congress party has decided to cancel the ticket of Subodh Kant Sahay and give the ticket to Ram Tahal Choudhary. The biggest reason for this is that the number of Mahato voters is very high in Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency.
Congress announced candidates for Khunti, Hazaribagh and Lohardaga yesterday.
Kalicharan Munda from Khunti (ST) seat, Jaiprakash Bhai Patel from Hazaribagh and former Jharkhand state Congress president Sukhdev Bhagat from Lohardaga have been made their candidates.
