‘Football for tomorrow’ theme for Jamshedpur FC home matches

Drummers to bring ‘desi’ flavour at Furnace

Jamshedpur, Oct. 20: Football flavour is back in Jamshedpur. Indian Super League (ISL) season 6 began at Kochi on Sunday with Kerala taking on ATK and the Steel City is all geared up for JFC’s opening match against Odisha FC on October 22.

Like previous two years, the ‘Furnace’ will be packed with fans cheering for the Men of Steel. To add local flavour, the Jamshedpur FC management is going beyond Bollywood music and has decided to bring in local drummers for ‘desi’ rhythms during the home matches at JRD Tata Sports Complex, informed JFC CEO Mukul Choudhari.

Talking to the reporters on Sunday, Choudhari said that drummers from Dhatkidih’s Mukhi Basti will beat ‘Sing baja’ to depict the local culture of Jharkhand.
On the line of Tata Steel’s campaign titled ‘We also make tomorrow’, Jamshedpur FC with the theme ‘Football for tomorrow’ will depict their grassroots football connect during the home matches.

“Our corporate team has given us the title #footballfortomorrow which will highlight our grassroots football ventures along the lines as followed in soccer schools that JFC has opened in various Jamshedpur cradles. The kids are the future and those involved with JFC football schools are the footballers for tomorrow,” added Choudhari.

“Recently Jamshedpur FC conducted Junior Champs for the kids of various JFC soccer schools and the winners of the tournaments will escort the players to the pitch. Students from various government schools will also be given opportunity to walk down the pitch holding players hands,” noted Jamshedpur FC Operations Manager, Raja Bhattacharjee.

He further said that Jubilee Park gates will remain open during match days to help fans easily commute as earlier they had to travel a long distance to cross over to the other side of the Park.
He informed that stadium gates will open at 5.30 pm and the parking facility like previous years is available at Loyola School, Armory Ground, Sacred Heart Convent School etc. while for VVIPs parking for 80 vehicles is available inside the stadium.
