Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Preparations are on at the JRD Tata Sports Complex as the city gears up for the third season of ISL.
The demand for the tickets is high for Jamshedpur FC’s first home match as 23,000 tickets have been sold till October 20.
According to Jamshedpur FC Operations Manager, Raja Bhattacharjee, 23,000 tickets have been sold for Jamshedpur FC�s first home match against Odisha FC scheduled for October 22. The remaining tickets will be sold within the next two days and like the previous two seasons the 24,424 capacity JRD Tata Sports Complex is all set to be packed with fans.
All the new JFC players are excited at the news of demand for tickets. “This will be my first match with Jamshedpur FC and I am very excited to play. I heard it’s going to be a packed stadium and that is something I would give my heart for. I am looking forward to hear the crowds roar,” said striker Sergio Castel.
Captain Tiri, like the previous two years, knows through experience how it is to play in front of packed stands.
He said, “I saw a video yesterday where the crowd was chanting Jam-shed-pur, Jam-shed-pur! It’s something I love to hear. I want to hear that and re-live it when we are playing on October 22.”
