Jamshedpur, Feb 18: Chakradharpur Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Arun J Rathore Saturday announced that a foot over bridge (FOB) would soon be constructed at Jugsalai railway level crossing. He further said that the Wireless Maidan at Bagbera would be developed and renovated. He said a proposal in this regard would be sent to the Railway Ministry for approval. Once the approval is received, both projects will start, he said.

The DRM was speaking during a visit to Jugsalai Railway Level Crossing and Bagbera Wireless Maidan. He was accompanied by the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato. The two inspected the twin sites and discussed various issues pertaining to the completion of the proposed plans.
Local residents have demanded construction of an FOB at Jugsalai after the opening of the railway over bridge (ROB). The railway crossing has been blocked for pedestrians and other vehicles. The demand for beautification of the Wireless Maidan in Bagbera is an old one. Currently it is used as a garbage dumping site.
The MP said pedestrians and cyclists were facing problem after the opening of the ROB. Due to closure of the railway crossing, the pedestrians and cyclists have to take the long ROB route to cross over to the other side, he said. “I had spoken to the Union Railway Minister and the Railway Board chairman regarding the twin demands of the people. The DRM has come here for inspection. The DRM has given approval to both projects. If the state government cooperates, these projects will be completed soon,” said the MP.
