Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Silver jubilee Annual flower show is ready to wow the residents of Steel city, the preparations for which are almost complete. The flowers, fruits and vegetables have already arrived at the venue and workers have been pressed into service to look after the particular stalls. Anand Sen, President (TQM & Steel Business) Tata Steel will inaugurate the show on Dec 28.
The show will be opened on 27th for judging of the exhibits by the Eminent Horticulture Scientists from different parts of the country where the entry will be only for the participants, not for the general public. The show will be opened for the general public from 28th December to 30the December, 2013.
This year the event is being held in a bigger way as it marks the 25th year of Jamshedpur Horticulture Society. Like every year the event which was organized at Modi Park Ground infront of Sacred Heart Convent School this year the organizers decided to move it to Gopal Maidan to display it in a big way, this year along with the flower show Horticulture Expo will also be organized at the same venue.
At the Horticulture Expo Arena, there will be 65 numbers of stalls where participants from all across the country which includes retailers, importers, exporters, trades in herbal medicinal plants, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, garden tools, spraying equipments, pumps and farm machineries etc will be present.
An open competitions for vegetables and fruits especially for local farmers of nearby areas and for the benefit of flower lovers 30 numbers of sale counters will be provided adjacent to the flower show venue for exhibition and sale.
The number of stalls at the show has been increased to 135 as compared to 70 last year.
