Jadugoda, Aug 17: The 74th Independence Day was celebrated in and around the Uranium township on a low key due to the prevailing pandemic precautions. Mukhiya Kartick Hembram hoisted the national flab at the Matigoda Panchayat Bhawan and saluted the flag and the martyrs who had died to obtain freedom. Among those present on the occasion were Parvati Singh, Dr Gopal Panigrahi, Tara Singh Mardi, Arvind Kumar Bhakt and Mandira Bhakt.
