Five injured, including a girl, in accident involving uncontrolled car

Chakradharpur: A serious accident occurred on the Banjhikusum Toklo main road near Jarki village in the jurisdiction of the Chakradharpur police station, resulting in injuries to five individuals, including a young girl. The victims of the accident have been identified as Kokil Mukhi, Amit Mukhi, Rani Mukhi, who are residents of Jarki village. While they were sitting and conversing in the courtyard outside their house, a seven-year-old girl was playing nearby.

Tragedy struck when an uncontrolled speeding Sumo car, heading from Banjhikusum towards Kera village, collided with all the people in the courtyard. The vehicle ultimately came to a halt after crashing into a tree. Local residents rushed to the scene, rescuing the driver from the vehicle. One person inside the vehicle managed to escape, while the villagers promptly informed the local police station and handed over the driver and another individual to the authorities.

Following the accident, all the injured parties were transported by ambulance to the sub-divisional hospital of Chakradharpur for medical treatment. The victims sustained injuries to their hands, legs, and other parts of their bodies. Kokil Mukhi, one of the injured individuals, was in critical condition and was subsequently referred to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment after receiving initial medical care at the sub-divisional hospital. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
