Ranchi: Five persons were reported dead in an encounter between two Naxalite outfits in Devragani Konmendra forest under Bishunpur police station area of Gumla. The encounter continued from early Monday morning till afternoon.
Sources said the encounter took place for five hours between JJMP and Jhangur, both factions of Naxalites. Three bodies were found at the encounter scene. Five members of Jhangur faction are reported to have been killed.
Two bodies are lying near the main road and shrubs. The bodies have not been identified so far. Police have confirmed the encounter.
