Jamshedpur: First phase randomization of EVMs and VVPATs was done on Saturday in the presence of General Observer and Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer of East Singhbhum. All candidates and their representatives were present on this occasion.
The control and balloting units of EVMs and VVPATs were brought for randomization. Copies of report on training and awareness organized so far regarding use of EVMs and VVPATs were provided to all candidates and their election agents. Two EVMs would be used for polling as there are 23 candidates in fray.
ADC and other senior district administration officials were present during the event.
