Firing and assault on Jamshedpur Marine Drive

Jamshedpur, March 27: Late on Tuesday night, an altercation ensued near Bageecha Rasoi restaurant on Marine Drive under Kadma police station, allegedly involving Vicky Nandi, a resident of Adityapur, and his associates. According to witnesses, Nandi and his group assaulted a local youth before he fired in the air from his pistol. Prompted by the incident, Kadma police initiated an investigation.

While police confirmed the altercation, they were unable to verify the reported gunfire. Sources suggest that the altercation erupted around 10:30 pm when Nandi and his associates confronted a group of youths sitting on the beach divider. Following the altercation, Nandi purportedly fired a shot from a country-made pistol before fleeing the scene. However, police investigations have yet to confirm the occurrence of gunfire.
