Jamshedpur: Fire broke out in a thatched house at Dhatkidih Medical Basti under Bistupur police station area on Friday. No casualty was however reported in the incident.
According to sources, the flames erupted from the house in the morning, threatening to engulf the adjoining houses. The local residents tried to douse the fire but to no avail. A fire tender was soon called in to control the situation. After over half an hour the flames were fully extinguished, sources said.
Local residents thanked the fire officials for their promptness and bravery.
