Jamshedpur, Sept 12: On the issue of Jubilee Park, the Jan Suvidha Manch (JSM) filed a case under section-353 against Tata Steel Utility and Infrastructure Services Ltd (formerly JUSCO Ltd) MD Tarun Daga in the Bistupur police station on Sunday, September 12.
The main gate of Jubilee Park and its main road is shut for almost 18 months.
Manch’s convener Shashi Mishra said that due to the closure of the main road the commuters are suffering a lot.
East Singhbhum district administration or Tata Steel Utility and Infrastructure Services Ltd has still not informed as to why Jubilee Park road has been shut, he said.
Mishra further said, “On September 10, we had gone to submit a memorandum to Tarun Daga, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited. We had said that if our demand was not initiated within two days, we will file a case under section-353 against the MD for blocking the vital Sakchi-Circuit House-Sonari link road that makes accessibility easier and quicker.”
“We are not opposed to the expansion of Jubilee Park, we oppose closing of the road,” added Mishra.
Also present at the Bistupur Police Station while registering the FIR were Rahul Singh, Lallan Chauhan, Girdhari, Kamlesh, Hridayanand Tiwari, Indresh Rai, Chandrashekhar Rao, Professor Trilokinath, Bhola Yadav, Keshav Singh, Shailendra Mishra, Pahar Singh, Rakesh Dubey, Anurag Dixit and others.
It is worth mentioning that Jubilee Park was closed after government order due to Covid restriction. However after the order of state government to open parks, the demand for opening Jubilee Park has massively increased.
