Jamshedpur, April 2: The district administration has tightened its belt to fight Corona virus. The administration has asked the hospitals to ensure isolation wards are intact. All the isolation wards have adequate provision of masks, drugs, hand sanitisers, water, soaps and other medical requirements. “ We are spreading awareness among people. We have conducted a review meeting and have asked the health officials concerned to keep an eye,” said official.

The official of health department said its is important people to clean hands frequently with alcohol based sanitizer or soap in running water for at least 20 seconds scrubbing all parts of both the hands properly. They should cover face while sneezing or coughing.
He noted that common symptoms of novel coronavirus are running nose, sore throat, dry cough, fever, tiredness difficulty breathing. Some patients may have aches and pains, nasal congestion, and sore throat.

“We are taking every possible step to combat challenges posed by coronavirus. We have asked the district officers to come up with quarantine centres across the district so that patients can be kept isolated,” he said. Isolation centres have come up in several places in the city but the idea is to ensure such places in rural areas too.
An official said that the administration in all the districts must ensure that locals use face masks and maintain social distancing.

The administration is now looking for more quarantine centres to help patients recover. The administration has urged people to cooperate with the district administration in preventing the possible spread of corona virus. The communiqué said that people should not move out of homes unnecessarily, they must use a mask, wash their hands regularly with soap or use a sanitizer. Do not spit here or there.
Concerned over recent spurt in Covid-19 cases, the administration has started corona tests of passengers coming at Tatanagar railway station. Three separate teams have been set up by the District Health Department for conducting tests. Names, addresses and phone numbers of the passengers were recorded today. After this, all are being sampled. The corona investigation at the station will be carried out in two shifts. Testing will be done from 6 am to 2 am and from 2 am to 10 pm. A total of 60 employees have been engaged for the task. It consists of 30 ANMs and 30 MPWs.
Tatanagar railway station has geared up its entire machinery in a big way to take comprehensive measures on the prevention of Corona COVID 19 virus infection. Officials of Tatanagar railway station informed that the situation is being constantly monitored and coordinated at all levels. Desks have been set up all over the railway system and the staff has been sensitized and educated about the subject. The collaboration and coordination with the concerned health authorities are also being ensured.
