Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Saman Adhikar Manch patron Munna Sharma on Friday said that the fight for �Malikana Hak� (ownership right) will continue in the city till the residents of various bustis were given their rightful by the state government.
Sharma said the outfit members accompanied by the residents of different bustis of the city will be gheraoing the Jharkhand Assembly on the second day of commencement of the Assembly session. He made the announcement while addressing a public meeting at Carriage Colony, Burmamines.
Sharma further criticized the state government for taking a decision to sell liquor in the state from August 1 this year. He said the government was not supposed to sell addictive substances that were banned in many parts of the country. He said the government could not sell liquor just to enhance revenue collection.
�We demand total prohibition on the manufacture, storing, distribution, sale and consumption of liquor in Jharkhand. There should be total ban on the sale and consumption of liquor. We will take to the streets till the government fulfills this demand,� Sharma said.
