Gamharia: A female elephant was found dead in Gidhibera village of Dumra panchayat in Gamharia on Wednesday. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained, said forest officials.
Sources said the carcass was found lying within the limits of the said village. A huge crowd gathered around the dead animal which is suspected to have entered the village after separating from its herd, sources said.
The village Mukhiya Piyo Hansda reached the scene along with JMM leader Ram Hansda and others.
