Ranchi, April 1: Father of a youth of West Singhbhum has appealed to the Singhbhum MP to bring back the body of his son who has died in Iran.
Ahalad Nandan Mahato, son of Ramanandan Mahato, a resident of Taratara village of Manoharpur in West Singhbhum district, died in Iran. Ahalad Nandan Mahato was posted as an engineer in Iran’s shipping company BND Yat Ship Management Services.
Father Ramanandan Mahato has written a letter to Manoharpur police station and MP Joba Majhi requesting to bring his son’s body to India.
The father told that his son Ahalad went to Iran in 2024. On March 28, the company personnel called and informed that he died in an accident while on duty inside the ship. He said that even after four days, the son’s body has not been brought to India yet.
Singhbhum MP Joba Manjhi has written a letter to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar urging him to investigate the matter and bring the body to India and hand it over to the family.
