Barkatha: A tragic incident unfolded last night near Gorhar bridge in the Gorhar block area when two trucks, identified as NL-02Q-9066 from Barhi and JH-05 DK 8875 from Bagodar, collided head-on. Regrettably, both truck drivers lost their lives in the accident.
The collision created a scene of chaos in the vicinity. With the assistance of Gorhar police and local villagers, the bodies were extricated from the vehicles and subsequently transported to Hazaribagh for post-mortem examination.
According to villagers, another accident occurred on the preceding Wednesday night involving a 16-wheeler truck that overturned, leading to the closure of the road.
The old GT Road was reactivated, resulting in an unknown truck colliding with an electric pole. Numerous poles were damaged, leaving the villagers without adequate lighting. Chhotan Kol, the chief representative, attributed the recurring accidents in Gorhar to the negligence of Raj Kesari Construction Company.
