Jamshedpur, Sep 2: To connect progressive farmers and FPOs with the e-NAM portal and get proper benefits, a meeting was held in the auditorium of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Jamshedpur. e-NAM Overview. National Agriculture Market (eNAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal which networks the existing APMC mandis to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities.
In the meeting, discussions were held to bring vendors on e-platform. It was advised by the District Agriculture Officer that agriculture should be developed in abundance area like Patamda Haat in the name of E-Nam Haat. Opening of outlets, details of seeds, agricultural produce, pesticides, equipment / equipment, related information about plant and farming etc are required. District Development Manager, NABARD said that small clips (audio/video) of success stories related to agriculture can be used to make display units for publicity. Along with this, it was decided to organize a camp with FPO on Monday to spread publicity regarding e-NAM at Patamda Haat.
The Marketing Secretary informed that three FPOs and 761 farmers have been added on e-NAM portal in the month of August. Along with this, about 8500 farmers have been registered in the district so far. Other important points were also discussed in the meeting like creation of infrastructure in Haat Bazar, on which the role/help of Panchayat members should also be given. Along with this, it was said to spread publicity on the day of Haat in Ghatshila/Patmada Haat. Representatives of Gudabanda FPO, Ghatshila Progressive FPO and Patmada Progressive FPO, District Horticulture Officer Mithilesh Kalindi, District Development Manager NABARD, Marketing Secretary Jamshedpur Market Committee Mr Sanjay Kachhap and Marketing Secretary Chakulia attended the meeting.
