Fake groups on food licence active in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Deepshree, Food Safety Officer has appealed to the food businessmen to apply online for licence/registration or contact the office of the collectorate. The officer warned that there are several fake groups that are active and duping people. Under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, it is mandatory for all food businessmen to take food license/registration for which online application can be made at foscos.fssai.gov.in. Food Safety Officer informed that complaints are being received in the city about charging arbitrary money from food traders in the name of license/registration, for which many groups are active in different areas of the city. She has appealed to the food businessmen to apply online for food license/registration at foscos.fssai.gov.in or contact the office of the collectorate premises.
