Exhibition of special children’s diyas in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 10: An exhibition of beautiful earthern lamps for Diwali made by special children was inaugurated by Jeevika Foundation at Sonari West Layout.

During this, BJP Jharkhand’s state spokesperson cum former MLA Kunal Sarangi was present as the chief guest, Kolhan in-charge of Brahma Kumari Sanju Behn, eminent chartered accountant Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, founder of Voice of Humanity Hari Singh Rajput and social worker Chanchal Bhatia were present. . During this, the founders of Jeevika Foundation, Avtar Singh and Sukdeep Singh welcomed all the guests by presenting them with clothes and flowers. The guests duly inaugurated the exhibition by jointly lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon.

Kunal Sarangi, said that these special children have set an example for the society in the direction of self-reliance along with financial strength by presenting them in a new form by painting the lamps and related items. This proves that with willpower and perseverance a person can do anything.

He said that our society should adopt intellectually impaired children and help these children mingle with the people and make their identity in the society by taking the society forward. He  appealed to the people to adopt indigenous products in Diwali and follow age-old tradition, illuminate their homes with beautiful earthen lamps and local diyas made by these children.

Jeevika Foundation has been developing mentally and physically challenged children through sports for the last 11 years. After physical training, children are engaged in eco-friendly activities. Different types of tasks are taught to the children here. For this they are given special training so that they can become self-reliant. Apart from diyas, paper bags, cloth bags, napkins, bags etc., there are many such things which are made by the children here.
