Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The annual sports day of Excel India Model School, Birsanagar, was held with great enthusiasm at Lalu Ground, Hurlung. The event saw active participation of students across different age groups in various sports competitions.
The program was jointly inaugurated by Chief Guest Vikas Singh, Principal of Vikas Vidyalaya, Mango, and Guest of Honour Dr. Devesh Bahadur, former Chief Radiologist at Tinplate Hospital. The event began with a spectacular parade and an impressive drill performance by students from both junior and senior classes.
In the sports competitions, younger students participated in frog race, shoe and socks race, ready-for-school race, and biscuit race, while older students competed in spoon race, needle thread race, sack race, long jump, shot put, and running events.
The winners were awarded by Vikas Singh and Dr. Devesh Bahadur, along with social workers Kevar Prasad Rao, Lalu Lohar, and Abhimanyu Singh. Some of the notable winners included Pramod Kumar, Rangeela Soren, Mausami Munda, Dhaneshwar Mahato, Anturam Chaki, Aniket Oraon, Vijay Bhumij, Mintu Kumar Sahu, and Anjali Kumari.
A musical chair competition was also organized for parents, where Kajal Gope secured first place, Saraswati Besra came second, and Pinky Murmu finished third.
The event was attended by a large number of parents, along with school Principal Mamta Kumari, teachers, and support staff. The successful conclusion of the sports meet highlighted the school’s commitment to physical education and holistic student development.
