Ex-clerk of SDO sentenced guilty in fraud case

Jamshedpur, March 18 In the case of fraud of seven lakh rupees, the Jamshedpur court has sentenced Prem Sharma, a retired clerk of the SDO office, to four years imprisonment.

While hearing the case, the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Pawan Kumar sentenced the guilty. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 10,000 was also imposed. In case of non-payment of the fine, the convict will also have to undergo additional imprisonment of three months. In this case, Jaideep Kumar had filed a case alleging fraud.

Advocate Gaurav Pathak argued on behalf of Jaideep. Advocate Gaurav Pathak told that in the year 2019, Prem Sharma’s son Sumit had sold a land to Jaideep Kumar for seven lakh rupees. Later, when Jaideep came to know that the land was fake, he got a case registered against Sumit Kumar. During this, Prem Sharma had said to give one lakh rupees immediately and the rest later, but later he refused to give the money.

Significantly, Prem Sharma is in jail for three years.
