Every Jharkhand household to get power by 2019: CM Raghubar

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said that every household in the state would get electricity by 2019. He said the state government was working hard to improve power scenario in the state. He made the observation on a visit to Birsanagar in Jamshedpur East, his home constituency.

Das said the government was sure to achieve the target set for power supply to each and every household in Jharkhand. He said the process for the construction of 2016 power sub stations had been started. Keeping the target in mind, the authorities concerned have been asked to expedite the power sub-station construction work.

“No one can prevent the 3.25 crore plus people of Jharkhand from becoming more prosperous and developed. Jharkhand has sufficient resources and potential to metamorphose itself and enter the league of developed states,” said the CM.
Das said that even after 70 years following Independence, over 30 lakh households in the rural areas were deprived of electricity. The state government is working in a mission mode. Economic prosperity would increase with the basic amenities like electricity, road and drinking water, he said.
