Jamshedpur, June 16: Amid the intense summer heat, Puneet Jeevan organized an evening blood donation camp at the Jamshedpur Blood Center on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day. The four-hour camp collected 70 units of blood.
The camp was held in response to the recent shortage of blood caused by a decline in voluntary blood donation drives. Its primary objective was to ensure the timely availability of blood for patients undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The initiative carried a special emotional significance as it was organized by Manju Kumari in memory of her late son, Puneet. Through the camp, she paid tribute to her son by encouraging voluntary blood donation and helping save lives.
Several dignitaries attended the event to motivate donors, including DSP (CID) Satish Kumar Sinha, former Zila Parishad member Kishore Yadav and others.
The camp was supported by the Jamshedpur Blood Center and the Prateek Sangharsh Foundation.
