Jamshedpur, July 29: The 112th birthday of late Chairman and patriarch of Tata Group, Bharat Ratna JRD Tata was celebrated on July 29 with due enthusiasm by the employees of Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, TML Drivelines and TTL. The day marked the beginning of the Ethics Week to be observed in Jamshedpur Plant.
The celebrations commenced with Sumant Sinha, GM (ER, Welfare & CSR) lighting the traditional lamp and placing flowers at the photo of JRD in the General Office foyer. Following him to pay tribute were the senior executives, union office bearers and Divisional Ethics Counselors. The Ethics Pledge taking ceremony followed, wherein every individual resolved to abide by the principles enshrined in the Tata Code of Conduct.
An interaction with the senior executives, union office bearers and Divisional Ethics Counselors was organized wherein messages on Ethics of Group Chairman, Cyrus Mistry and Ravi Pisharody, ED – CVBU were shown to all. A B Lall, Head – Jamshedpur Plant also addressed the audience. Kallol Lahiri, AGM (Internal Audit) and ethics counselor – Jamshedpur Plant, briefed the audience on the programs scheduled during the Ethics Week, the salient features and the changes in Tata Code of Conduct 2015 with respect to earlier version and the details of Divisional Ethics Counselors in the Plant.
Thereafter, all employees in the plant took an ‘Ethics Pledge’ in their respective divisions and a mass blood donation campaign was also organized by the Security department donating 156 bottles of blood.
