CII hosts manufacturing conclave
Jamshedpur, June 6: Jharkhand industries secretary Jitendra Kumar Singh has said that the manufacturing sector has the biggest role in India’s economic development.
Overall, the manufacturing sector contributes to 30 percent of the country’s growth. Manufacturing companies have a role of 48 percent in the growth of Jharkhand in the financial year 2021-2022. Many new policies are being introduced to further improve its role.
The industry secretary was addressing the 10th Manufacturing Conclave on behalf of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at a hotel located in Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Thursday.
After inaugurating the conclave Jitendra Kumar Singh said that along with manufacturing in Jharkhand, companies related to mining sector have also played a better role. He said that Jharkhand is soon going to bring new pharmaceutical policy, ethanol production policy and solar policy, which will greatly benefit the industries.
He said that 40 percent of the country’s mineral needs are met from Jharkhand itself. Jharkhand’s role in India’s GVC export is very important.
Like the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, such resources will also be developed in Jharkhand. He said that promotion will be given to green hydrogen while the government is also working on the construction of Pharma and Electronic Manufacturing Park. The government is working to attract companies manufacturing solar energy and medicines in the world.
