Jamshedpur, Dec. 31: In view of the huge crowd presence in picnic spots, district administration has barred vehicle entry in Jubilee Park from December 31 to January 3. The scenic park witnesses the maximum rush on the New Year which continues till a week.
As 1st January is Friday and weekend there will be a big crowd presence on 2nd and 3rd January which is falling on Saturday and Sunday. Both the gates of the Jubilee Park, near the Centre for Excellence and Sakchi side will remain closed till January 3.
DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal said, every year on January 1, vehicles are barred from entry and Sunday (January 3) new system has been working to keep the gates close while this year gates will remain close from December 31 to January 3.
People should park their vehicles outside the gate and freely enjoy themselves in the Park. Dr. Kauhsal further said, loudspeakers will not be allowed at picnic spots and vehicles including 407 and roam about in the city. Those find violating the rule would be strictly dealt with.
Mostly it is seen that youths in their cars play loud music and roam about in the city which makes trouble for the citizens. DC said buses will be kept at picnic spots to arrest drunkards and eve teasers.
Different teams will be present to take actions against scoundrels while district level officers will also be present, said, DC, adding, till January 3 police team will keep check on drunk driving through breath analyzer.
DC has also ordered video recording of picnic spots so that scoundrels can be strictly dealt with. A team has been formed to have video recording done at different picnic spots.
Those who will be found in influence of alcohol at picnic spots will be strictly dealt with. A team has been formed to look after and act against the drunkards.
Traffic DSP informed that no entry of heavy vehicles will be allowed during picnic time from December 31 to January 3. From 1st to 3rd January no entry of heavy vehicles will be allowed from 7 am to 11 pm.
