Entry of two-wheelers banned from Jamshedpur’s Dalma sanctuary

New rates for tourists, filmmakers

Jamshedpur, October 7: New rate for tourists has been implemented in Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary.

 Entry fee for tourists has been fixed at Rs 10 while for children it will be Rs 5.

For shooting a feature film, it will cost Rs 10,000 per camera per day. The rate of videography is fixed at Rs 500. A guide will also be available here, for which Rs 300 will have to be paid.

However, in a major decision, entry of bikes and scooters in Dalma has been banned.

Dalma DFO Abhishek Kumar said that this decision has been taken only after taking opinion from everyone.

However, entry for villagers will be free along with two-wheelers and other vehicles.

The directive further states that apart from room charges, maintenance charges will be taken separately. The revenue received from the fee will be deposited in the account of Forest Development Authority Dalma Foundation.

Fee exemption will be given in special circumstances such as religious events, education and training.

The rates are as follows:

 Tourist – Rs 10 per person,  children- 5 years to 18 years – Rs 5 per person,  school tour – Rs 2 per child entry to Nature Interpretation Centre – Rs 10 adults and children Rs 5, Bus or Truck – Rs 800 Mini Bus-Car -Jeep – Rs 600, autorickshaw-  Rs 350 rupees,  bike or scooter – prohibited, still camera – Rs 100 rupees Videography – Rs  500, Film shooting per camera per day –Rs  10,000, Guide’s help per day – Rs 300 per person per day for Dalma trekking – Rs 50 Conservation, Awareness, Education Research Centre, Cottage AC Room – Rs 2000 Non AC Cottage Room – Rs 1000 Bamboo House Makulakocha Nun AC Room – Rs 1000 Forest Restroom,  Pindrabeda AC Room – Rs 4000 Forest Restroom Pindrabeda Non AC Room – Rs 1000,  Feature film shooting –Rs 10,000 per camera per day.
