Ranchi: Engineers should be aware of their importance in the development of the state, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said this while distributing appointment letters to 61 new assistant engineers of the Road Construction Department at a function held on Wednesday at ATI, Skipa.
In his address, the CM made an appeal to the engineers to fulfill the hopes and aspiration of the government. He advised them to start working with latest techniques, fresh zeal, new ideas and a conducive work culture.Soren said the rural areas should be the focus of development. Development of only urban areas causes lopsidedness.
It has to be seen that the path of development runs through the villages to the towns. People living in villages should get basic facilities and necessary infrastructure. Land should be used for farming with better irrigation facilities. The priorities of the government are clear.
The Engineers should be given proper training. There should be conformity in quality in private and government engineering works. It should be ensured that the government engineering works were better by adopting modern concepts that gave priority to rural development.The CM said the officers and employees should be given timely promotion. Pending works should be completed straight away.
The officers should rise above internal bickering and complete work in time in a disciplined manner. It should done in such a fashion that nobody could raise a finger on the quality of work. Everyone should be sincere towards the work they were doing.
Soren said the state would be developed with our concerted effort and the targets will be achieved. The function was also addressed by Agriculture Minister Yogendra Sao and the subject was introduced by Principal Secretary Rajbala Verma.
