Jamshedpur, Feb 16: An anti-encroachment drive was launched in Cable Town Area at Golmuri on Thursday. Several shops were removed for allegedly encroaching upon the road. Sources said several shop owners were allotted shops in Sonari and directed to vacate the shops. Despite getting the notice in this regard, the shopkeepers had not vacated their old shops, which impeded construction of the road, sources said. Security was beefed up at the site before removal of encroachment.
