Encroachment on govt land removed in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The administration team demolished two flats built on government land near Hurlang in the Birsanagar police station area.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, where the administration bulldozed the illegal construction and cleared the land of encroachment. In this regard, Shailesh Kumar, the owner of the illegally occupied Ranjana Ring flat, said that he was not given a notice by the administration to demolish his house. He claimed the administration team bulldozed his house without notice. He filed a complaint at the police station.

In fact, his father had built his house on top of a safety tank, which broke Shailesh Kumar’s safety tank.

He first went to the police station to complain. The station in-charge, citing the SDO, directed him to file the complaint with the SDO. When the owner of the Ranjana Ring flat complained to the SDO, the SDO initiated an investigation. Upon investigation, it turned out to be government land under illegal occupation. Subsequently, the encroachment was demolished on Friday, freeing the land from encroachment.
