Empowering Villagers: Awareness chariot flagged off for ‘Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’

Jamshedpur: In a significant move towards grassroots governance, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri flagged off the awareness chariot at the Collectorate. The initiative is part of the ‘Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program, aiming to create awareness among the common people about the various welfare schemes offered by the state government.

The program, scheduled from November 24th to December 26th, will see the organization of Panchayat level camps to cover eligible beneficiaries with welfare schemes. The awareness chariot, symbolizing the government’s commitment to reach every citizen, was inaugurated by District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri for all blocks. Present at the occasion were Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and Director NEP Jyotsna Singh.

District Magistrate Bhajantri emphasized the significance of disseminating information about Panchayat camps and government welfare schemes through the publicity chariot. The primary objective is to ensure widespread awareness and participation among the common people. Information about the schedule of Panchayat camps and details of government welfare schemes will be shared through this initiative. The Panchayat level camps will not only serve as information dissemination hubs but also as platforms for receiving applications and resolving complaints from the public. The on-the-spot disposal of applications and timely action are key components of the program’s success.

To provide detailed information and assistance to the public, various departments, including Food and Supplies, Social Security, Rural Development, JSLPS, Welfare, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, and Health, will set up stalls at the camps. Additionally, block and zonal offices, labor department, revenue department, animal husbandry department, social welfare department, transport department, and various banks will be present to address complaints and accept applications for government schemes.

Bhajantri highlighted the importance of the program, emphasizing that it aligns with the state government’s vision of reaching villagers and understanding their issues directly. The initiative allows district and block officials to interact with villagers, listen to their problems, and collect applications for government schemes during the Panchayat camps. This approach eliminates the need for villagers to visit government offices, making governance more accessible.

The district administration aims to execute the program successfully under the guidance of the state government. Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri encouraged conscious citizens to participate in large numbers, ensuring that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible individual. The ‘Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to inclusivity and responsive governance at the grassroots level.
