Employee Arrested for selling counterfeit Liquor in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 3: The Jamshedpur Excise Department made a breakthrough by apprehending an employee of a government liquor shop in Sakchi, Sonari Adarsh Nagar. Acting on confidential information, the department conducted a raid at the employee’s residence and confiscated a substantial quantity of illicit liquor. Additionally, businessman Anirudh Singh, who was involved in the illicit liquor trade, has been arrested. Anirudh Singh, employed at a government liquor shop on Kalimati Road, was found producing and selling counterfeit liquor from his residence. Assistant Excise Commissioner Ramlila Rabbani informed that both of Anirudh’s sons were already incarcerated for the same offense, indicating a family involvement in the illegal business. The department recovered liquor valued at approximately one lakh rupees. Presently, the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
