Jamshedpur: The three-day workshop titled ‘Training for Child Effective Implementation of The Guideline for Sponsorship and Foster Care’ organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at the Jamshedpur Civil Court concluded on Thursday.
DLSA Secretary SN Sikdar said the Government of Jharkhand had first implemented the guidelines for children’s welfare in the country and that East Singhbhum was the first district in the country where the initiative was taken.
Sikdar emphasized the need to create a massive public awareness on issues related to children’s welfare and care. He said the para-legal volunteers had an important role to play in ensuring the success of the guidelines issued for sponsorship and foster care of children.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included Magistrate Darshana,, Angelina John, Rupa Bandana Kiro, Satyabhama Kumari, Chanchal Kumari, Piyush Sengupta, Rahul, Nagendra KumarDilip Kumar and Leena Mohanty.
