Jamshedpur, December 7: The playground of ADLS Sunshine School came alive with excitement and competitive spirit during its annual Sports Day, themed “The Paramount 4 P’s – Planet, People, Progress, and Peace.” The vibrant event showcased the school’s dedication to fostering sportsmanship and holistic development among students.
The Chief Guest, Hemant Gupta, Head of Adventure Programme and Sports Academics at Tata Steel Limited, inaugurated the event. A distinguished alumnus of IIT Mumbai, Gupta emphasized the importance of sports in nurturing life skills and applauded the school’s efforts in shaping responsible citizens.
Guest of Honor was L. Nageshwar Rao, Chief Coach at Tata Steel Karate Training Centre.
The program began with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by an impressive march past by the four houses—Topaz, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.
A highlight of the event was a captivating drill performance showcasing the theme “The Paramount 4 P’s,” which enthralled the audience. The tiny tots participated in fun events such as Dress Up Dash, Ball Balance, Hula Hoop, and Swachh Bharat-themed activities, while older students competed in various athletic events.
The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where trophies were awarded to the best athletes in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 boys and girls categories.
Emerald House with 207 points was the winner followed by Sapphire House 188 points and Topa House 178 points.
In her closing address, Principal Manju Singh congratulated the winners, participants, and staff for their hard work and dedication. The event ended with the National Anthem, marking the conclusion of a memorable and successful Sports Day.
