Jamshedpur: A wild elephant trampled a youth, identified as Motilal Mahato, 32, in Kasidih forest of Kowali panchayat in Kowali police station area early Sunday morning.
Sources said the deceased had gone to the forest to bring leaves for puja. Just then, the wild elephant came out of the forest and attacked him. The elephant lifted the youth in its trunk and threw him down. By the time villagers could run to rescue the victim, he was dead, police said.
