Jamshedpur, Oct 9: A 33-year-old electrician from Chaibasa, identified as Anil Sinku, died after reportedly falling from a two-storey structure while working in Nildih area under Telco police station area.
Sources said Anil was employed under a contractor, Prabhat Singh, and lived in a rented house in Nildih.
The accident allegedly occurred two days earlier, but his family only learned of it on Wednesday when they located his body at Tata Main Hospital (TMH).
The family informed police later that night. Telco police station in-charge Prashant Kumar said preliminary investigations indicate Anil was working on an electrical assignment under a private contract.
However, the exact cause and circumstances of his fall remain unclear.
Police have started questioning the contractor and are investigating the matter as a case of death under suspicious circumstances.
The postmortem is expected to be conducted soon, after which the exact cause of death will be determined.
