Electoral rules backbone of election process: Jamshedpur DC

District level programme organized to mark National Voters� Day

Jamshedpur, Jan 25: A district level programme was organized at Ravindra Bhavan, Sakchi, here on Saturday to mark National Voters� Day. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Election Commission of India, Sunil Arora, gave a video message to voters on this occasion.

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla was present as the chief guest. He administered voters� oath to all those present and urged them to safeguard democratic values by refusing to give in to any lure and casting vote without fail.

Shukla thanked all voters for playing a vital role in ensuring success of the recently held elections. He said today�s voters� felicitation programme honours all those directly or indirectly involved in the election process. He said the names of new voters should be added to the electoral list and those not existing in the same constituency should be removed from the same.

Also present on the occasion, Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh congratulated East Singhbhum district administration for successfully organizing Jharkhand Assembly election 2019.

Other dignitaries present during the programme included ADM Nand Kishore Lal, Special Officer Rationing Naveen Kumar, NEP Director Jyotsna Singh, DRDA Director Anita Sahay, DPRO Rohit Kumar, DEO Shivendra Kumar and district social welfare officer Satya Thakur.

Officials felicitated for election work

East Singhbhum district administration gave letters of appreciation to district officials and employees for performing well during Jharkhand Assembly elections 2019 on Saturday. Those felicitated include DTO Dinesh Ranjan, deputy collector (Treasury) Ravindra Gagrai, district Panchayati Raj officer Dr Rajnikant Mishra, Nivedita Rai, Savita Topno and MNAC special officer Deepak Sahay
