Elderly man fatally hit by unidentified vehicle near Dimna Dam in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 4:An 80 year old man, later identified as Vishwa Vijay Ghosh, a resident of Mango Dimna Basti was fatally hit by an unidentified vehicle near the Dimna Dam on Saturday morning.Local residents immediately reported the incident to the police who, on arrival at the spot, took the body under their charge and sent it for postmortem.

Vishwa Vijay Ghosh’s death was attributed to the impact of an unknown vehicle, and a first information (FIR) has been filed against the unknown driver based on a statement provided by the victim’s brother, Ajay. Vishwa Vijay Ghosh used to sell peanuts around Dimna Dam and regularly walked between his residence and the Dimna Dam.

According to his family sources, his folks started searching for him when he did not return on Saturday evening. It was then that they learnt that Vishwa Vijay Ghosh’s body had been found earlier in the morning near the Dimna Dam. The police are currently investigating the case.
