Ranchi: Eid was celebrated with fervour in different parts of the state on Tuesday.
Jharkhand governor Dr Syed Ahmad today congratulated the people on the occasion and met many visitors in the Capital.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren met the governor at Raj Bhavan and wished him. The vice chancellors of the various universities of the state and senior administrative officials too, met the governor and wished him.
The dignitaries included state minister Rajendra Prasad Singh, Suresh Paswan, Annapurna Devi, state Congress president Sukhdev Bhagat, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi, state RJD president Girinath Singh, Congress leader Subodhkant Sahay and MP Pradip Kumar Balmuchu.
