Jamshedpur, Feb 24: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Golmuri, organized a workshop titled Teach, Talk, Connect: Mastering Interpersonal Skills to enhance teachers’ communication and relationship-building abilities. The session was conducted by renowned counsellor Saloni Priya from Kolkata and focused on improving educators’ ability to express their perspectives effectively within the school community.
The workshop covered key aspects of interpersonal communication, including active listening, empathetic dialogue, and conflict resolution strategies. Priya shared practical techniques to help teachers interact more effectively with colleagues, senior leaders, and committee members, fostering a more cohesive professional environment.

Teachers actively participated in discussions and role-playing exercises, making the session highly engaging. Many found the insights transformative. “This workshop has changed the way I communicate with my colleagues and leadership. The techniques shared were eye-opening,” said one participating teacher.
Principal Nandini Shukla emphasized the school’s commitment to professional development. “Effective communication is key to a thriving educational environment. We are grateful to Priya for providing such valuable insights that will help our educators express themselves confidently and collaborate better,” she said.
Encouraged by the success of this initiative, KSMS plans to conduct more training sessions in the future to further enhance professional communication and interpersonal effectiveness among its educators and leadership team.
