ED unravels conspiracy: Prem Prakash accused of plotting against ED officers

Ranchi: In a startling revelation, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has exposed an alleged conspiracy orchestrated by jailed accused Prem Prakash to trap ED officers in false charges. According to information obtained from incarcerated Danish Rizwan, the ED asserts that Prem Prakash colluded with Jail Superintendent Hamid Akhtar, Jailer Naseem Khan, and external individuals to fabricate a case against ED officers investigating illegal mining and other cases amounting to Rs 1000 crore.

Prem Prakash, currently in custody, is accused of not only hatching a plan to implicate ED officers falsely but also conspiring with jail officials and outsiders. Additionally, he is implicated in the killing of a prominent Maoist figure. The ED, outlining these alarming details, filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court.

The affidavit further reveals that Prem Prakash, also known as PP, strategically summoned a girl to Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi on the occasion of Holi. During this meeting, he allegedly informed ED officers and concocted a plan to frame the girl in a fabricated rape case. The Enforcement Directorate alleges that three constables from the jail itself brought the girl as part of this scheme.

The ED contends that Prem Prakash had significant connections with state officials, including the current Home Secretary, and enjoyed close relations with senior officers in the state. It is claimed that he received assistance in obtaining a government bodyguard from these officials. Additionally, the affidavit discloses that, at Prem Prakash’s behest, Chief Minister’s press advisor Pintu provided Rs 10 lakh to Vijay Hansda, who later turned hostile.

Citing these serious allegations, the ED has called for the transfer of Prem Prakash to a jail outside the state to ensure a fair investigation and trial in the money laundering cases. The affidavit underscores that Danish Rizwan, who revealed the alleged conspiracy, had written a letter to complain to the ED and the Chief Justice. Shockingly, the letter was not forwarded by jail authorities, and in response, Rizwan was confined to a cell for several days before being transferred to another jail.
