Jamshedpur, July 6: Suspected land dispute led to the murder of a youth identified as Raisen Hansda, a resident of Jahergutu under Mosaboni thana in East Singhbhum district on Monday evening.
The body of the youth, after the alleged murder was made to hang from the ceiling using a nylon rope to make it appear as a suicide case.
The deceased brother Karan Hansda said that he along with his mother had gone to Ghatshila station and when he returned after leaving mother who was going to Ghatshila he found the house closed and when he pushed open the door he found his brother hanging but his legs were touching the ground.
He informed relatives and mother all of whom came and they also informed the police who reached the spot. The relatives claimed that they had a land dispute with Chandra Mohan Mardi and Media, both resident of Lipdih in Pathargoda and they had also informed the thana about the dispute and the youth might have been murdered over this dispute.
